Intensive Family Preservation Services (IFPS)

Intensive Family Preservation Services (IFPS) is an evidence based intensive home visitation service for families to prevent out of home placement of children and assist with the stabilization of families in crisis. Intensive home visitation for families to prevent out of home placement of children.
 

Values and Beliefs:
The Parenting PATH believes that the safety of the children is the highest priority and families are the fundamental resource for the nurturing of children.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Keeping families together
  • Promoting protective factors that reduce risk
  • Coaching families to develop skills, competencies and resources

Intervention include: Family assessment, intensive family and individual engagement, advocacy, case-management, enhancement of parenting skills, and referrals to other services as appropriate.

Services are limited and concentrated in a period of 28-days at 10-hours a week, for a total of 40 hours of direct services. Intervention takes place in a variety of natural settings. The IFPS Specalist is accessible to their families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the duration of the services.

Offered in Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Rockingham, Rowan, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin counties.
