What We Do

Knock Out for Change

The Knock Out for Change is a 10-week group session for parents and teens

Serving families with teens 11-18 years old

2 hour weekly meetings help support families to:

  • Reduce parental stress
  • Improve parenting, problem-solving, and life skills
  • Increase connection to community resources
  • Improve family communication

Group discussion focus on:

  • Repairing family relationships
  • Reducing delinquent behaviors
  • Preventing gang association/involvement
  • Teens participate in boxing, learn self-discipline and mindfulness/meditation skills.
  • Parents participate in learning new strategies/interventions and yoga for stress relief.
  • Participating families also receive 1hr of weekly in-home case management.
