The Parenting PATH recently received a grant award from the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust that will help transform the way Forsyth County, NC addresses childhood trauma. The comprehensive project to reduce Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) will include:
- A new pilot curriculum for caregivers in the child welfare system.
- Specialized trauma training for Forsyth County first responders.
- Enhanced screening to identify trauma in children as young as three.
We believe this is a vital story for the community as we work to break cycles of childhood trauma.
