The Parenting PATH named new member of the recently created North Carolina Family Resource Center Network
(Winston-Salem, NC) – The Parenting PATH, a local non-profit based in Winston-Salem is proud to announce they are now part of the North Carolina Family Resource Center Network.
Co-created by Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina and launched in 2023, The Family Resource Center (FRC) Network seeks to connect FRCs from across North Carolina to both increase investments and promote best practice in family support services through advocacy and collaboration.
FRC Networks provide increased connectedness, coordination, cooperation, and collaboration amongst members, training and technical assistance, advocacy, policy, and legislation, and maintain a shared data tracking system. There are currently 27 members in the FRC Network.
“Being part of this group is a continuation of our partnership with Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina and our commitment to families in our community. Our mission locally is enhanced when we are part of a larger collaboration in the state” says Elizabeth Miller, Chief Executive Officer.
The Parenting PATH is a recognized 501(c)3 organization based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with satellite offices in Stokes and Surry counties. The Parenting PATH (formerly Exchange/SCAN) has been dedicated to the northwest region of North Carolina for 40+ years. Our mission is to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect by strengthening families, enhancing parent/child relationships, and creating safer more stable communities. We are currently offering 18 services in 8 counties in the Piedmont region.
